Medicare Plans MS – The health insurance services we offer:

“My husband is turning 65 this year. We weren’t sure which Medicare plan was the best option (Supplement or Advantage). Hardie met with us and took his time to explain the ‘Golden Window’ and answer all of our questions about Medicare, Prescription and Dental plans. We are so thankful to have had a local agent that we could trust to guide us through these difficult decisions.” Carol H.

I am Nancy and am 94 years old. Hardie has been my agent for the last 15 years. I had been on a plan that had many copays. He helps get me on a plan with no copays and helps me with my prescriptions plan each year. They often change to get the best coverage for my medicines each year. Nancy D.
These stand-alone plans add prescription drug coverage to the Original Medicare Plan, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private Fee-for-Service Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans. Call for more information on Medicare.
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)
My name is Tom. Hardie helped my wife Lynn and I decide on our Medicare Supplements and prescription plans about 10 years ago. He has continued to help find the best prescription plans each year. This past year I had some major health issues. The bills are now over a 1/2 a million dollars [$500,000+] and growing. The plan he had advised has covered all but less than $100.00 dollars. We are so glad we followed Hardie’s recommendations. Tom & Lynn D.
- You can go to any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare. When you get your health care, you use your red, white, and blue Medicare card.
- The Original Medicare Plan pays for many healthcare services and supplies, but it doesn’t pay for all of your healthcare costs. There are costs that you must pay, like coinsurance, copayments, and deductibles. These costs are called “gaps” in Medicare coverage. You might want to consider buying a Medigap policy to cover these gaps in Medicare coverage. You can also add prescription drug coverage by joining a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. Medicare Plans MS
Medigap must follow federal and state laws designed to protect you, and they must be clearly identified as “Medicare Supplement Insurance” Insurance companies can sell you only a “standardized” plan, identified in most states as plans A – D, F, G, and K – N. All plans offer the same basic benefits, but some offer additional benefits so you can choose which one meets your needs. In Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, Medigap plans are standardized in a different way. If you live in one of these states and want more information, visit Medicare.gov or Medicare.gov/publications to view the booklet, “Choosing a Medigap Policy: A Guide to Health Insurance for People with Medicare.”
Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)
If you have one of these plans, you don’t need a Medigap policy. These plans include:
- Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO),
- Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO)
- Private Fee-for-Service Plans
- Medicare Special Needs Plans
- Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans (MSA)
These plans may cover more services and have lower out-of-pocket costs than the Original Medicare Plan. Some plans cover prescription drugs. In some plans, like HMOs, you may only be able to see certain doctors or go to certain hospitals to get covered services. Call for more information on Medicare Advantage Plans.
Dental, Vision, and Hearing Plans – Contact us for these stand-alone plans.
